Ms. Livier has worked extensively in both English and Spanish language media. This includes film, television, on-camera commercials and voice-overs, animation, and theatre. Among her on-camera work, she starred in the groundbreaking Showtime series Resurrection Blvd., recurred in Beverly Hills 90210, was directed by Sam Raimi inDrag Me to Hell and by the iconic Franco Zeffirelli at Cinecittá Studios in Rome.
Her voice-credits include working with director Lee Unkrich in Pixar's Golden Globe and Oscar-winning Coco, playing Lolita opposite Val Kilmer's Zorro in the 2012 Grammy nominee The Mark of Zorro, recurring in Disney's Elena of Avalor, and a starring role in the Fwak! animated feature Los Campeones de la Lucha Libre. Also an accomplished stage actress, Ruth has played lead roles in top Equity houses including: Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre, South Coast Repertory, Goodman Theatre, The La Jolla Playhouse, The Denver Theatre Center, The Los Angeles Theatre Center, and the Long Beach Opera. She has also starred in a theatre-tour alonside Eugenio Derbez.
Ms. Livier was featured on the cover of the Writer's Guild of America's (WGA's) Written By magazine (Nov. '09) for being the first writer to join the union via her work in digital media. She created, wrote, and produced the award-winning bilingual web series Ylse. Ylse won the 2010 Imagen award for Best Web Series (the first in this category), received Cal State LA's Reel Rasquache Best Web Series award, and was a 2010 finalist in the NexTV Web series competition.
Ruth has been a keynote speaker at the Latina Youth and Hispanic Lifestyle conferences. She has been a guest speaker and/or written on digital media and writing for the web at USC, Emerson College, and NorthWestern University. She has also been a panelist at several digital media events including: The Business Symposium at LMU, Hanson Film Institute at the University of Arizona, SAG-AFTRA, WGAw, NHMC MediaCon, NALIP, and Digital Hollywood.
Ruth has written and produced other indie projects including a PSA featuring governor Jerry Brown and actor Tony Plana. She co-directed an interactive Spanish language commercial for Honda.
